A complet service for your derivative items creation.
Soon
to celebrate ten years in the development and marketing of cultural
products, our expertise has allowed us to maximise the relationship and
services with Museum commercial experts. An integrated marketing
division complemented by model-makers and craftsmen gives l'Officiel
des musées the wherewithal to analyse the requirements of your
museum.
A Traditional know-how with artisanal flair.
L'Officiel des Musées creates and manufactures
in its parisian workshops. Our designers and model-makers, trained in
French art schools (Ecole Boulle, Beaux-Arts,...) interpret all sorts
of prototypes in plaster, resin, and metal. Underlining these
traditional qualities, our Know-how is based on four essentials
activities :
- The fashioning of metals precious and non-precious : foundry work, jewellery, inclusion of inlays of resins, enamels, precious stones.
- Ceramics, earthenware and the manufacture of porcelain painted by hand.
- The moulding of plaster, resins all hand finished to obtain the correct patina, size not beeing a restriction in our undertaking.
- The carving of any type of wood.
Whatever your derivative item may be, a mass-production object or a
prestigious piece made on a small scale, L'Officiel des Musées
will manufacture it with the same highest standards of quality and
integrity.
A partner for your derivative items distribution.
When l'Officiel des Musées is a co-editor in a project, it takes
under its wing the reponsibility for product distribution and sales
strategy.
This distribution may be through various channels, sold uniquely in the
shop of the museum in question, through its mail-order catalogue, or
offer to a world wide market through the numerous dedicated museum
stores and the gift departments of the largest retailers in the capital
and major cities of the world.
The above methods of distribution reflect the concern l'Officiel des
Musées has towards the establishment of quality means, to
promote its products respecting the cultural integrity of its sources,
providing an ease of acces to the products and assuring the financial
returns desired (5% to 7% depending on the license agreement).
A european implantation an international view.
The immediate aim of l'Officiel des Musées is to develop the
politic of co-licensing and edition of artefacts, on a pan-european
scale to offer a wide range of product through the various and
differing distribution networks.
After its U.K. office in 1996, l'Officiel des Musées is about to open a new office in Germany in 97.
Being part of The Museum Store Association (one of the major U.S.
Museums association), l'Officiel des Musées is also aware of the
latest evolutions of one of the main derivative items market of the
world.
