The Art Nouveau period was at its most popular during the period from 1895 to 1905, expressed itself by the combination of form and functiun.
It was with the widespread reference to nature that artits such as Mucha, Eugène Grasset or gallé drew their inspiration for the designs that are typical of that era.
The feminine form holds pride of place as a source of inspiration in the composition of jewellery and decorative objects in the Art Nouveau period, under the japanese influence of the Universal Exhibition of 1867.
