"LI SAO" BOOK-MARK

According to a poem written by Qu Yuan (340-278 B. Jesus Christ)

This bookmark is inspired of a poem written by Qu Yuan (340-278 B.C).Statesman and diplomate of the kingdom of Chu, vice chancellier of the king, he ramains all the same a famous poet.
Having attracted to him the jealousy of politicals rivals, Qu Yuan, bannished, left for exile in the South of Yangste. The poet terminated
his days by throwing in himself in the water of the river Mi Luo.  Qu Yuan still keeps today an important place in the history of chinese literature. He is indeed one of the precursors of the poetry in prose. The extract of the poetry we propose on this bookmark is taken from "Li Sao" or "Pain of the distance". That poem reports the pain that Qu Yuan felt during the exil of its kingdom and its king.
